This is the second trip of this foreigner in our Island, and we are glad to know he loves it as much as we do. Just for that, he is amazed of Mogan as a boulder site, where hundreds of boulder problems are and will be for the rest of our lifes. As a matter of fact, this man has made a video where he combines different boulder zones of the Island, and definately, he tells us that he is definately coming back for more!! C ya mate!

A nice day 4 Me
Today, and after some weeks of undefined physical states, I've managed to take my tendons in conditions and reinforce them, and I'm glad about it. Eventhough my shoulders are making me think of a future leisure, I still keep on going to the limit. As a matter of fact, today they did not hurt at all, and after sending a 6b to warm up, I managed to send a hard 7c+, get my first shot to Andujar Power 8b+, to the half of the route, and finally, at 7.30 pm! sent a 7c. At that time, light had gone and the only thing that helped me look the route, was the moonlight. My foot tips where just put on where my sensations told me to, or where I knew they where. These foot sensations tought me something. I still don't have all of A.Power's 8b+ moves, but got most of them. Sounds good! :D

MOGANBLOC - BOULDER CONCENTRATION
Place: Mogan, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands
Country: Spain
Like these past 2 years, the spectacular boulder concentration in Mogan is up to start. A boulder paradise, with over 700 boulders and grades from V to 8, is meant to be the home for two days and one night for all of those that desire to boulderize wherever they want to. Things are almost it, and the organization is preparing everything they need. Spectations tell us that no matter what happens, participators will fill up the limit of assistants. This will be incredible.

Last year, over 150 participators and others assited to this event, and we are not just talking about canarians, but climbers from the peninsula and even neighbour countries just like France assited. This event, MOGANBLOC (www.moganbloc.com) started as a canarian boulder concentration, but, it seems that life is transforming it into something else! Great climbers like mitic Dani Andrada or Chris Sharma know the place, and have climb there too.
If you still do not know what this is like, enter Moganbloc. And if you still do not know how this boulders look like....watch the next videos!

La Candelilla, Hard Onsights
La Candelilla is a Gran Canarian Crag, maybe the first Sport Climbing Crag of the Island. Its rock is awesome, very hard, eventhough it is not a rock in its form, it's a conglomerous rock. Most of its colour is orangy-browny but there are parts where it is full of differente types of moistures. This moistures are the ones that make you see anything. If the route is not marked with manganesse, then this moisture makes the change in textures dificult to be seen.

Two Days for a Route
On January 2nd of 2012 I bolted my first route. I did not know that day was going to be "the day", but accidently, it was. I rounded the high walls and managed to downhill the rock with my grigri, the drill, and other neccessary materials. I managed to put the anchor in the right way, trying to bolt it on a safe place, and starting going down, and up, looking for the exact places for the parabolts, and I think I founded them. Lets see how climbers comment about it in the future. If so, the second one will change....or not. I haven't climb it yet, eventhough today, January 5th, I finished cleaning it and throwing all the rocks needed.
I've been working on this route for two days, and in hours, they have been a total of 7 hours,, maybe more or not, but rest has been needed... and I think they count in the overall process to create a rock climbing route. ¿Don't you think so? If so, I could say that this route has had a work of around 11 hours. Hard work has been done!
This route, previously named "Mercromina", is a crack, a big one, it looks like if two plates had been separated. It is not that tall, around 15 meters or so. ¿The level? Don't know yet, but is more than a 6a+ for sure, and who knows if it will call for the 6c. The next week will tell me. I really don't know why I called this route like it, it just came to my mind, who cares... But accidently, I found a lizard inside therock, 2 bolts from the anchor, coloured dark red, a gecko. So finally, the name will be "Gecko Mercromina".
