Tunte Projects

In Tunte, as everyone is this Island knows, Gran Canaria, there are projects all around this valley. Not only local climbers know about this, but even foreigners know it, even climbers from other islands. As an evidence, here is a video of a trip some foreigners did. Nice video by the way! Nice to watch them climb this epic boulder problems!

Climbing Vocabulary

Ascent: Action of climbing a route till the end without falling down nor with any other help but your onw body.

On Sight: First ascent try without having any prevoius information about the route except your own one, specially cruxes, movements or holds. No focus on the route is admitted when somebody is climbing it.

Flash: First ascent try having prevoius information about the route.

RedPoint* (Rotpunkt) : Ascent throughout more than one try putting the quickdraws while climbing. Touching any part of a route is considered as the lost of the On Sight and the Flash attempt.

*The creator of the redpoint was Kurt Albert (1954 - 2010)(GER) (R.I.P.)

PinkPoint: Ascent throughout more than one try with the quickdraws drawned before climbing.
